Mosquito’s bite causes itching to most people because they are allergic to a chemical in her saliva. (FYI: Only female mosquitoes bite.) The mosquito pricks a hole in the skin and injects her saliva into the wound to get the blood easily. She needs the protein blood contains to mature her eggs. If you can catch a mosquito before it floods the wound with saliva, you will not itch.
An anti-bite hint: Reduce your chances of being bitten by wearing white or pale yellow cloths.
