In November 1937, Jimmy Angel, an American bush-pilot, discovered a magnificent waterfall amidst the dense forest in the hilly area situated in Venezuela, South America; while flying his Flamingo type monoplane. The magnificence of this natural wonder left him stunned.
Waterfalls are rated on the basis of the height from which the water falls as well as its volume while it cascades. Considering both these criteria, Angel Falls (photo above) is indeed splendid and marvelous as it cascades for nearly one kilometer. The water drops through 979 meters (3,212 feet) high cliff. At times, the entire water fall is not visible as its higher end is concealed by the clouds. The Angel Falls is 3 times higher than the Eiffel Tower of Paris!
