What does “cracking your back” do, and why does it feel good?

There are many theories about why cracking joints is a thing, but none of them are certain.
It most likely is caused by seperating bones just a little bit, which creates a partial vacuum in the synovial fluid between them.
The sound and sensation are created when the vacuum collapses.
