Why does glue not dry up in a bottle?

To dry up the water would have to evaporate out of it. The water can’t do that in a sealed container because of something called vapor pressure.
Basically evaporation is governed by the temperature of a liquid, the pressure it is at, and the properties of the liquid. The water can’t evaporate out of the glue because it is in a sealed container and so the heat that causes it to evaporate increases the pressure which then condenses the liquid again.
If you open the top of a glue bottle it can dry out because the water is free to convert into a gas without increasing the pressure.
